Hamlin- Oak Orchard

For 2011, this ride has been "restored" to it's original route. With the two revisions before this, the ride had been re-routed to the parkway, and then reversed direction, both of which changed the quiet peaceful nature of the ride. Back to it's original, and OFF the parkway, riders can enjoy a wonderfully quiet back-roads ride out to Oak Orchard,, enjoy a visit to the lakshore where one can view the harbor and the lighthouse at the end of the road, and return to "The Bridges" where options for getting lost abound ... for those who don't read maps!

After the turn-around in Kenyonville, pay a visit to the pond, the dam, the abandoned railroad trestle and the waterfalls and river gorge right off Park Ave. Quite a sight! Then if the west wind prevails, enjoy a fast, flat, smooth ride back to Hamlin Beach State Park, and hopefully, a tailgate party in the park!
