Ionia - Honeoye - Harriet

If you've ever skied at Harriet Hollister Spencer Park, or looked down over Honeoye Lake from the hang gliding jump off, you know that it is a climb to get there, but what goes up, must come down. Riding all the way to the park, you will encounter 48 miles of hills. After crossing Route 20A, there is a long but gentle climb until you get to Lauderbach Rd, when it is a tough climb to the park, but the downhill is payback time....allowing you to go just fast enough to be a pleasant descent, but not so fast that you can't still enjoy the view across the lake. The only food on this ride is in Honeoye which by the way, you only bypass on the outbound trip. So if you were planning on lunch at the park, you either need to take your own, or detour into the village to pick something up. It's on the return portion of the trip that you actually enter the village of Honeoye. Riding only as far as Honeoye and back, gets you a 30 mile ride, still with hills, but not the long grind to the park.
