The only body of water is Silver Lake. There is a local legend the townspeople of Perry will tell you of a monster in the lake. It turns out many years ago, someone devised a hoax of a Loch Ness monster type creature in oder to encourage tourism which worked for awhile until he was "found out" If you google Perry, NY, you can find out more about this "monster". The hills are moderate and the roads are quiet. Rest stops are in Perry and Castile. If the 54 mile ride is shortened by turning around in Perry, you miss one rest stop and wind up with 36 miles.
