Bath Greenwood

Note that ALL rides starting off Rt. 390 are both time and gas efficient. No stop signs, no traffic lights on 390. Set the speed control'n go! Once on the 390 in Henrietta expect 70-80 minutes to the start. There are excellent 24/7 facilities at Tops. It's a scenic and really hilly 73 mile ride, comparable to the Bath-Borden ride and just a touch hillier climbing average (ft/mile) exceeds the 5 Lakes Century number. Max grade noticed was 19%. Especially the start of the ride is "jagged", up and down & again with 2700ft climbing on the initial 17 miles. For a real short shortcut use the No.73 map "Steuben County Tour" to return from Hornell. Food & water: in Hornell requires a side trip; a small restaurant on the route (mile 20 or so) at the RR t racks opens late, 10-11AM. THAT'S ALL. NOTHING for the rest of the ride. I guess the water could be obtained from private homes. In Hornell, stock up for the hilly 54 miles!
