About RBC

Rochester Bicycling Club is Rochester's cycling resource dedicated to promote cycling for sport, recreation, health, and transportation.

The club was founded in 1967 and it promotes the use of bicycles for sport, recreation, health, and transportation. We work to protect the rights of cyclists and increased bicycle safety on all roads and trails.

The club has several hundred cyclists, covering a wide range of ages and abilities, who ride bicycles for fun and fitness. Club members ride a variety of bike types, including hybrid, touring, racing, mountain, tandem, recumbent, and e-bikes.

RBC schedules hundreds of rides each year covering the greater Rochester area, the Finger Lakes, and the Southern Tier. Rides can range from 10 flat miles to over 100 very hilly miles. Most members ride in the 20 to 50 mile range, a distance most anyone can do with a little experience.

In addition to rides, the club offers social gatherings such as picnics, a spring awards banquet, a Fall dinner, a social and election meeting, and a winter multimedia show meeting.
