Exploring the Black Hills of South Dakota (Lisa Roberts & John Corman)
Gravel riding and hiking based out of an Airbnb house near Lead, South Dakota. Highlights include the Mickelson Trail, Custer State Park, Devil’s Tower, Iron Mountain and Spearfish Canyon. Also includes some tips about planning a self-guided cycling trip.
Across Switzerland (Nick Jospe)
"Heart Route" from Lake Constance in NE to Lake Geneva in SW. Single lane country roads, mostly paved and sometimes not, never straight and rarely flat, free from traffic and any hustle and bustle, and best ridden with an e-bike. The route traversed some of the most beautiful areas in Switzerland’s alpine foothills, and ensured heart-warming encounters with the mostly Swiss German people - and cows.
Pyrenees Coast to Coast (Gary Schwenck)
Majestic mountain passes across the Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. Daily routes through France and Spain, averaged over 70 miles and 8600 vertical feet! The unassuming charm and hearty cuisine of the Basque and Catalan people kept riders well-fueled and refreshed.
Southern Thailand (Don & Kathryn Burns)
One of the best places to cycle in Thailand, as the roads see few foreign tourists and are wonderfully scenic. Karst outcrops, rice paddies, forests and jungles to delight the eyes. Tropical forests, rubber plantations and coconut trees, exotic flora and fauna, mountains, golden beaches, ancient cities, Buddhist temples, and friendly Thai people.
