We will drive to the parking area near Port Byron. There is an Empire State Trail visitors center there with a decent sized parking lot and allows for overnight parking. Once there, we will dismount our bikes from our cars and bikepack to Green Lakes State Park.

We will camp overnight at Green Lakes for two nights. We currently have some sites in the "Rolling Hills" area and again, if you would like to share a site that may be an option or you can book your own site. On Sunday Aug 11 we will ride a lightened bike to Verona and back to Green Lakes SP. On Monday, the third day, we will pack up camp and ride, with our gear, back to Port Byron.

Each day is 48 miles on the Empire State Trail. This is mostly off-road with a bit of road. We have some sites reserved at Green Lakes SP which can be shared, or else people can book their own site.
